AI Shortcuts are reusable text transformations. Create shortcuts for tasks you do frequently.

Creating a Shortcut

  1. 1Go to Settings → AI Shortcuts
  2. 2Click "Add Shortcut"
  3. 3Choose an emoji and name
  4. 4Write your prompt template
  5. 5Use {{selectedText}} where the input text should go
  6. 6Optionally select a specific model

Using Shortcuts

Via Omnibar

  1. 1Copy text to clipboard (or select text first)
  2. 2Press Show Omnibar hotkey
  3. 3Type shortcut name
  4. 4Press Enter
  5. 5Result is copied/pasted

Via Command Mode

  1. 1Select text in any app
  2. 2Press Command Mode hotkey
  3. 3Say the shortcut name
  4. 4Text is transformed in place

Tips

Be Specific in Prompts

"Fix grammar and spelling, keeping the same tone" gives better results than just "fix this."

Use Descriptive Names

Name shortcuts clearly so you can find them quickly in the Omnibar. "Translate Spanish" is better than "Spanish."

Choose the Right Model

Fast models work great for simple tasks. Use more capable models for complex writing or analysis.
